My dishwasher is showing an ER on the screen. I can not push any buttons or use the washer. Do I need a new control board and a new mother board?
Thanks
For model number FGID2466QF8A
Hi Erica, thank you for asking. We have found that the ER error code is common to frigidaire dishwashers, and it indicates a touch/keypad issue. You may need to check the switch assembly, part number PS12585690, to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
I have power to the control board but no lights or working buttons. Is it likely a control board. There is no sign of damage to the board at all.

Hello David, thank you for getting in touch. We have researched your model and found that you may need to check the wiring that connects the board and the console. If the wiring is good, we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: board, part number PS12712360, console, part number PS12718076, and display assembly, part number PS12585692. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
Controls no longer work. Not sure if it's control board or the button part. Any way to tell?
For model number Fgid2466Qd2a
Hi Nevin,
Thank you for your question. If the controls are no longer working, check the connections between the parts to see if they are fitted correctly. Sometimes if there is dust on the control panel ribbon cable, this may cause some issues with the controls not working. Gently dust it to see if this helps.
Also, check the electronic control board for damage, wear, burning or scorch marks. If it shows any of these signs replace it. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
Is replacing a control board on this dishwasher part # 5304520582 something I could do with instructions? Or we have to pay a technician ?
For model number FGID2466QF
Hi Samantha, thank you for reaching out. Follow these instructions to replace the control board. Firstly, turn off the power supply to the appliance. Then take a screwdriver to unthread all the screws securing the outer door panel and pull the panel down to detach it. In the next step unthread the screws of the control panel assembly, and you will get access to the control board cover. Remove all the screws of the cover and disconnect the user interface assembly wire harness or display wire harness from the control board. Disconnect all the wire connectors from the control board, unthread the screws of the control board and remove it, and install a new one. We hope this information is useful.

Hi Holly, thank you for writing in. Our research shows that there are two possibilities. 1. the control board which is the part number you have provided or 2. the console assembly, part number PS12718076. We hope this helps.
