Solved ice making issue
Previous Ice maker (circa 2014) stopped cycling through all phases of ice production and wasn’t filling ice maker or ejecting cubes partially formed. Replaced whole ice maker unit and now ice production is back to normal

Icemaker was dropping black particles that looked like dirt or mold. What they were was the corrosion of the metallic (pot metal or aluminum) ice form and small corroded particles falling on the ice. The ice form looked like it was coated with teflon or a paint. this form needs to be metal so heati

Our icemaker just stopped making ice. We tried turning it off and back on but nothing. Any suggestions?
For model number Pye22kskkss
Hi Mary, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the following parts to fix the issue: water filter, part number PS10063209, and water inlet valve, part number PS11766705. Before replacing any parts, we suggest checking the water supply line from the water inlet valve to the ice maker to ensure it is not blocked and the water is reaching the ice maker. If the issue persists, then you may need to replace the ice maker assembly, part number PS12583184. We hope this sorts out your problem!
I need to replace the in-door ice maker for the above model. Is this the correct model?
I have confirmed that the ice maker is working in the freezer and the water dispenser is working as designed.

Ice maker still works but clogs up because water is evidently leaking into ice bucket & freezes & forms large chunks that won’t come out unless you take ice bucket out & remove. The silver crusher part is rusty & so is the silver part that’s on the ice bucket

Hi Tammy, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description that you have provided, it indicates an issue with the ice maker opening the water valve too long to allow too much water into ice maker tray. We would suggest unplugging the unit from the outlet for 3 minutes and plug back in and see if the ice maker control resets and resolves this issue. If not, you will need to replace the icemaker, part number PS12583184. For the rust issue, we would recommend replacing the ice bucket and crusher, part number PS8758500. We hope this solves your problem!
Hi Ed, thank you for your inquiry. To remove the water filter, pull the bottom of the filter cartridge, allowing it to swing outward. Pull to free the cartridge from the holder without twisting it. If the filter does not come loose easily, air may be trapped inside. To relieve any pressure, push in on the water dispenser; the filter should drop right out. If the filter is not releasing, you may have a defective or damaged water filter manifold, part number PS6447739. We suggest checking it for damage and wear. If it is damaged, you will need to replace it. We hope that helps!
The ice maker is no longer freezing ice. The ice that was there melted. The water dispenser is working and the water is cold. Any suggestions on what part would need to be replaced. Thanks.

Good Afternoon; This unit is about 6 years old. Is the one that makes coffee. Was wrong: It makes ice but it does not release the fast. You can hear it falling but the little door won't open to release the ice. Please let me know what could be happening to this. Thanks Jose

Hello Jose, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Door to see if it is damaged and not opening properly. Make sure the spring is allowing it to open and the motor is working. If they are good, you may have a faulty Ice Bucket. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
ICE MAKER DOESN'T MAKE ICE. WE CAN GET WATER FROM DISPENSER
For model number GYE22KSHFSS
Hello Dan, thank you for reaching out. We have researched and found that you may need to check the following parts to fix the issue: dual water inlet valve, part number PS6011774, and ice maker assembly, part number PS12583184. Before replacing any of the parts, we would suggest checking the ice maker water supply tubing for any damage, or blockages. Tighten any loose connectors, repair any broken seals or cracks in the water line, and remove anything blocking the water flow. We hope this solves your problem!
