In regards to "fl" error code, potential cause is faulty switch door lock. How do you know if existing one on the washer is bad?; i.E. I do not want to buy a switch ($100+) only to find out it does not correct the problem.
For model number WA400PJHDWR
Hi Joe, Thank you for the question. The only way to know for sure is to test the switch you have with a multi meter to check for resistance. Hope this helps!

The washer threw an error code of DC. Is that just the lock or the motor with the lock?
For model number WA45M7050AW
Hello Kathy, Thank you for the question. The dc error code on a Samsung washer indicates the washer will not spin because the load is unbalanced. You can redistributing the weight of an existing load, removing items to reduce the overall weight in the washer, or check the Damper Suspension Rods. We hope this helps!
So the lid latch might not be the problem? They took all of the clothes out of the washer and the water will not spin oit might spin out it's acting like the lid isn't shut I guess. So do you think it could be the suspension rods or could it be the lid latch?
For model number WA45M7050AW
Hi Kathy,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not spinning and the lid is not closing correctly, then the issue is likely the lid switch. The lid switch on a top load washing machine is used as a safety device to prevent the motor circuit from operating when the lid is open. If the lid switch fails, the washer may not spin. The lid switch is normally located beneath the main top with a projection on the lid or a pin attached to the lid that will actuate the switch when the lid is closed. Verify that the switch is being activated mechanically and that any levers or actuators are not damaged or sticking. If the switch is being activated, but there is no power being supplied to the motor, then the switch may be defective. Before testing the lid switch, please unplug the washer from the electrical outlet. Check the levers and actuators to ensure they are not damaged or sticking. If it is being operated mechanically and no issues were found with the levers or actuators, remove the switch from the appliance, set your multimeter to Rx1, and touch the probes to the terminals. You are testing for continuity and should receive a reading of zero. If your test results do not match those above, you will need a replacement lid switch. Also check and make sure that the lid is positioned correctly, so that it is activating the lid switch when it is closed. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

The object in the diagram only looks like the front part of what I need. The lock I removed has a wire that runs to the back and another device on that end. Is this the complete lock or do I need another part as well?
For model number WA48J7770AP/a2
Hi Val, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the lid lock assembly, part number PS12072637, is a complete lock with an attached wire and a clip that connects to the noise filter clip in the control panel of your washer. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service!

Recently bought house, seller left the washer.
Lid does not latch, and therefore the washer does not start.
Am I missing something?
There does not seem to be anything in the lid latch cutout (where I would expect to see something to grab the actual washtub).
I suspect it may have broken and seller left.
Any expert advice on a part to save the day?
THANKS
