I am holding the temperature selector switch in my hand . How can I test it .
There is a resistor wired on the plug . It tests ok . This dryer only produces low heat no matter where the control is set . The heater and all the thermal switches test ok. The timer seems to work , it turns on/off and completes a cycle . Vent is clear . I get the same thing venting into the room .

Hello Russell, thank you for writing. The first parts to check in this case would be all your thermostats and thermal fuses. You can test those parts with a multi meter, and they should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. If those parts are fine, you should then go on to testing your heating element as well. You can also test that with a multi meter, and it should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms. We hope this helps. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you

if the dryer does not blow hot and all the thermal fuses test ok can the timer switch be the problem
For model number WED4815EW1
Hello Ed, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue could be with the timer, but before replacing the timer, we would suggest replacing the heating element, part number PS334313, to solve the problem. Glad to be of assistance!
