I'm having an issue with my compactor going past the screw limit when it gets to the upward end of its cycle, and i've read that part # 18 could be the issue with the limits not working correctly. Can you let me know if you have had other customers replace this part when this happen with the compactor. I've already replaced the two other switches on the base of the compactor and the door close switch.
For model number KUCS02FRSS1
Hello Jeffrey, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we don't have any information from other customers on this part. However, the function of the directional switch on your trash compactor is to ensure the ram lowers to compress your trash, then returns to the top position. If your trash compactor does not complete this task, will not stop at the end of the compacting cycle, or is noisy during operation, you may need to replace the directional switch. It sounds like the directional switch may be the issue. I hope this helps!

my compactor stops when you release the start button
For model number KUCS02FRSS1
Hi Joe, thank you for your inquiry. Based on our understanding, the issue is probably because of the switch, part number PS11770334. You may have a defective switch and need to be replaced to fix the issue. Glad to be of help!
