This is a manufacturer-made thermal fuse for clothes dryers. The thermal fuse is a safety component within dryers to shut off power to the heating element if the temperature rises above a specific temperature threshold. If your dryer is experiencing problems heating up or starting, this thermal fuse may be bad and likely needs to be replaced. Replacing this thermal fuse may require some disassembly of your dryer but should only need a screwdriver and wrench. This thermal fuse is sold as an individual OEM part and does not come with any other accessories.

Hello Leonard, thank you for your question. We have researched your model and found that the issue is probably with the Thermal Fuse, part number PS11766766. If that does not take care of the issue, then the problem is most likely to be related to the Thermostat, part number PS11746740. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!
Runs fine no heat have replaced igniter flame sensor and relay coils. Still no heat thermal fuse ohms 0.00. Where to I go next??

It will turn on, blow air, tumble, etc just not produce heat. Would this be thermostat or heating element? It's only about a year to 18 mths old

Hello Jennifer, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the internal bias thermostat, part number PS11746740. It attaches on the blower housing, and monitors and helps regulate the temperature inside the dryer. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
Power comes on but when you press the start button it counts down 321 then all I hear is a click click I located the sound coming from the control board on the power relay would that be my issue. Control board is (w11176355).

For model number WED6620HW2
Hello Dena, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: Thermistor, part number PS11746740, and Moisture Sensor, part number PS11741408. We hope this helps! If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Thanks again for your great question.
Our dryer doesn’t get hot suddenly. How can I determine if heater or thermal fuse or other part causes the problem?
Thanks!
For model number WED87HEDW1
Hello Rebecca, thank you for contacting us. The issue is most probably related to the thermostat, part number PS11746740. You can also check it with a multimeter; it should read 10K ohms resistance at room temperature. Using a multimeter you can also check the heating element, thermal fuse, and high-limit thermostat by performing a continuity test. A faulty part does not have a continuous path in them. We hope this information helps!
What should be ohm resistance value for the thermal fuse? I'm getting 00.2. I'm seeing a little over 12k ohms on the internal bias thermostat. Thank you in advance.
For model number WGD75HEFW0
Hello Steve, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the thermal fuse should be reading near zero ohms across it. If you get a large resistance, it has opened and needs to be replaced. Also, the thermostat should read 10K ohms (10,000 ohms) of resistance at room temperature. It can tolerate a 10% fluctuation. According to your data, the thermostat is faulty. We recommend you replace the thermostat, part number PS11746740. We hope this information helps!
my dryer has power to it but when i press the power button nothing happens it wont turn on the control board in the back only flashes what could it be?
For model number wed6620hcO
Hi David, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description of the issue, the problem is with the electronic control board. We recommend checking the electronic control board, part number PS12717537, to fix this issue. We hope this solves your problem!
My dryer turns on starts drying only to shut off after 10 to 15 minutes later
For model number Wed560lhw2
Hi Charles, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, we would recommend checking the moisture sensor, part number PS11741408. It helps detect the amount of moisture in your clothes during the dryer cycle. If the level of moisture gets too high, it tells the control board to turn the dryer off. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this information helps!
