Not an exact match, but adaptable with different size spade connectors
the video of suggesting a photo before disassembly was priceless. Not too difficult, but definitely need a variety of connectors for efficient replacement.

I have a Jenn-Air electric smooth top downdraft slide-in range and the right, front dual-element does not come on at all. When the burner is off, the hot surface light is constantly on next to the burner. Is this the element or something else that has gone bad. Also, how do I get the top off to replace whatever it is that I need to replace?
For model number JES9900BAB
Hello and thank you for writing.
Removing the top is relatively easy. Three screws on the left side and three on the right side, two in the back. Three-wire harnesses to disconnect and reconnect.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty control switch PS11749818and/or possibly a malfunctioning element itself PS11764924, you should check the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace as necessary. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

I have to replace front right element but on # w10823722 seems that the connections are not the same type as on the original element that i have. Is that part good for my unit? How can i connect it?

Front right element part number: PS11764924 is in the list of compatible items for your model. Sometimes the manufacturer makes small changes to their models but they assure us this is the compatible part for your model and it should just plug in the existing wiring. Hope this helps. Dans le chema éléments 13 ne fonctionne plus problème de câblage.Esce que le faisceau de câblage peut se vendre
For model number JES8850BCS
Hello and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty element you should check the part(s) for signs of damage or test with a multimeter, and replace it as needed. The wiring harness is not available, you should check all connections as they just might have come loose. Please see the part links related to this question just beneath this answer. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Front left burner won’t come on. Small surface light indicating hot surface has been on since burner quit working even thought the burner won’t heat. Is the likely solution the element or something else?
For model number Jes8850bcb
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your question. If the front left burner is not turning on the issue may be with either the switch that controls it or the element. You will need to test these parts with a multimeter for continuity to see which one is causing the issue. Before performing these tests, please unplug your range from the electrical outlet. For the element, first inspect it visually for signs of bubbling, burning, wear, holes, or damage. If the element appears fine, touch each of the terminals one at a time with one probe while holding the other probe to the outside surface of the element. If either terminal shows continuity, it is defective. To test the entire element for continuity, place each of the probes on the terminals, one on each. The exact reading you should receive varies between models. Refer to your owner’s manual to determine what yours should be. If any element has a reading outside of 19 to 115 ohms, it is defective. If you do not receive the correct readings from the tests above or find damage on your element, you will need a replacement surface burner element. For the switch, first inspect the wires for any signs of burning, or overheated wires and terminals. If no issues are found, remove the switch in order to test it for continuity. Using a multimeter on the Rx1 mode, test the switch for continuity by touching the L1 and H1 terminals with the probes. Once you have completed that test, touch the probes to the L2 & H2 terminals. If your test results indicate that there is no continuity between one or both sets of terminals, you need a replacement infinite switch. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
