Is there any more info on the site about replacing the pump on this? I found a diagram but no troubleshooting, instructions, or videos. Thanks!
For model number WDF550SAFS
Hello Jonathan, Thank you for your inquiry. I was able to find the following installation instructions for you. First you have to un-install the dishwasher from the cabinet. Turn off the power to the dishwasher and disconnect the water supply. Using a Phillips head screw driver, unthread the 4 mounting screws securing the two panels on the bottom, pull them off and set them aside. Now unthread the top screws securing the terminal box cover and slide it to the right to remove it. You will next have to disconnect the power wires, so make a note of the connections or take a picture. Remove the strain relief nut and detach the strain relief and power wires from the terminal box. Disconnect the drain hose and remove the mounting bracket screws from the top, you may need to loosen the feet on the bottom in order to pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet.
Unthread the screws securing the circulation pump mounting bracket to the rear frame. Now tip the dishwasher back and have it rest on a towel or blanket so you can access the bottom of the dishwasher. Detach the mounting bracket from the circulation pump. Disconnect the pump wire connectors and detach the wires from the capacitor. Use pliers to break loose the pinch clamps securing the inlet and outlet hoses to the pump. Pull the old pump free of the hoses, then disconnect the grounding wire from the pump to fully remove it. Before you install the new circulation pump, slide new clamps over the ends of the three hoses. Connect the grounding wire to the new pump then attach the hoses to the appropriate ports on the pump and secure the clamps. Reconnect the wire connectors to the pump, and capacitor. Align the mounting bracket and boot on the pump and push it into place. Return the dishwasher to its upright position and thread and tighten the screw to secure the mounting bracket to the frame. Push the dishwasher back into the cabinet, adjust the leveling legs if necessary, re-attach the mounting brackets to the cabinet or countertop and reconnect the water supply hose and drain hose and make sure the drain hose is elevated above the connection point. Reconnect the wires and strain relief. Next reconnect the power wires and terminal box and re-attach the inner access panel and toe kick panel. Hope this helps!
