My dishwasher will not drain. The hoses have been cleared but still no drainage. How do you determine if the problem is just the drain pump vs. Both the pump and the motor? Please advise.
For model number WDT710PAYM6 WHirlpool
Hi Nicole,
Thank you for your inquiry. To verify if it is the pump or the motor causing the issue, you will need to use a multimeter to check the continuity of each part. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My dishwasher pumps water in, yet once full does not begin wash cycle. I checked the float level which moves freely, check and cleaned the wash pump, sprayers are clear, yet no water comes out of the sprayer, drain pump works. What are your thoughts on possible cause of failure.

Hi Rene,
Thank you for your question. If your dishwasher is not cleaning once the water has filled in the dishwasher, the issue may be the heating element. This heating element is designed to monitor and control the heat of the water that enters the dishwasher. It is located at the bottom of the dishwasher. If your dishwasher is not drying dishes properly, the water is not hot, the cleaning light blinks on the control panel, it does not start, or leaks, replacing the heating element could solve these issues. You will also need to check the filter, the high limit thermostat, the door actuator and the turbidity sensor. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Fills , releases soap drains but does not spray to wash
For model number Wdf530payt3
Hello Tamara, thank you for your question. The first parts we would recommend checking/cleaning are the spray arms and the filter under the lower spray arm. If the unit will fill release soap but you hear absolutely no noise when its supposed to be washing, that is a good indication that the pump and motor assembly has failed. I hope this helps!

Is this the part that pumps the water into the drain?
For model number 665.15113K211
Hi Eugenia,
Thank you for your question. This is the circulation pump. The part number listed under your model number for the drain pump is PS11753379. If you would like to place an order for it, customer service is open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
My Kenmore dishwasher doesn't seem to wash the dishes very well. I see the water draining into the garbage disposal and it sounds like it's working, but the dishes come out dirty, especially on the top rack.

Hello Georgia, thank you for the question. We would recommend checking the upper spray arm, part number PS11753262, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
I broke a glass into the dishwasher. Is it possible glass has entered the pump? The machine fills and drains but will not begin any wash cycle. It just makes a low rhythmic clicking noise.
For model number WDF540PADM2
Hello Tony, thank you for your question. It is possible that the glass has entered the pump, but there is a filter under the lower spray arm that should catch most of that debris. We would recommend testings the circulation pump PS12347645, as well as the turbidity sensor Part #: PS12070543 first. I hope this helps.
