What part is the sensor board which is a small circuit board mounted on the left side of the console ( viewed from the back)? It supposedly is tied in with the timer and if faulty can keep the timer from progressing (which is my problem).

What part should be replaced?
For model number MGDX655DW2
Hi Craig, thank you for reaching out. We have found that the issue is with the dryer timer, part number PS11756913. It controls the electrical components and the duration of the dryer cycles. We would recommend replacing the timer to fix the issue. Good luck with your repair!

My dryer will start up for a few minutes and then it will just shut off. No noises or anything. It does heat up and spin. The timer works as well, but whether I'm on a timed dry, sensor dry, or even air dry it does the same thing and then will not start again unless I wait for a little bit and come back to start it. What could be causing this issue as I am all out of ideas on what it could be as it does the same thing on any cycle I set it to.

Hello Josh, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model number you have provided and it sounds like the dryer is overheating and is being shut down by the thermal fuse to protect the motor. It then cools off enough for you to be able to start it again. First check to see if the vents are being restricted or the vent hose is not kinked and the dryer is free from lint. Next we would recommend checking the thermal fuse, the thermal cut off kit, the high limit thermostat, the cycling thermostat, and the blower wheel. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Check the blower wheel for any restrictions. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
Repair thermostats, high low limit, and heating element and thermal fuse but still no heat

Hello Jerry, thank you for the question. We would recommend replacing the drive motor, part number PS334304, to fix the issue. If the drive motor is faulty, it will run, but the dryer will not heat. Good luck with this repair!
My Kenmore dryer does not heat on the moisture sensing cycle. I have replaced the moisture sensor and cleaned out all lint/exhaust tube, but it still does not work on that cycle. Is it a problem with the control panel? What would be the correct part no.? thanks.

Hi Peter, hard to say, could be a problem with the dryer thermal fuse, thermal cut-off kit or dryer cycling thermostat. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
Hello Diana, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Door Switch, PartSelect Number: PS11741701. A door switch is a simple on/off mechanism that prohibits the dryer from operating when the door is open. We hope this helps!
