My son was leaning on the oven door while it was down and now it won't close, do I need to replace both hinges and the door or just the hinges
For model number WFE540H0ES0
Hello Roy, thank you for the question. We would suggest replacing the Door Hinges, PartSelect Number: PS11754748 and the Hinge Receiver PartSelect Number: PS8760079 on both sides. We hope this helps.
Does the lock feature on the control panel of my Whirlpool Range
(wfg540h0es1) lock the oven door or does it simply lock the control panel? The oven door does not-lock when you go into self-clean mode or when you engage the feature on the control panel. Is the oven door suppose
to lock or not? If it is suppose to lock, it is not doing it doing it. I cannot find any part listed that indicates that there is some sort of locking mechanism or assembly (on this model) that locks the oven door. Is there a Door Lock Mech or Not, if so, what is the part #?
For model number whirlpool range wfg540h0es1
Hello Michael, thank you for reaching out. The lock feature shuts down the control panel and also locks the oven door to avoid unintended use of the oven. If the door on your oven is not locking, we suggest that you check the door switch, part number PS11747197, and door hinge, part number PS11754748, as they could be defective and needs to be replaced. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!

Oven door drops all the way down when opened. Tried to adjust hinges at the bottom, now door is hard to close and open. Do the hinges need to be put in the slot on the door. I tried but it was too hard to get them in. How much pressure is need if they go in the slot
For model number WFG540H0ES1
Hello John, Thank you for the question. They should not require any sort of pressure. This normally indicates the Hinges are worn and need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
