I believe I need part number PS11754411, the on/off switch for the door of our Whirlpool dryer. I do not see how to access the interior to plug the pigtail to the power supply. Does this part come with any instructions?
Hello Bruce,
Thanks for your question. Unplug the dryer and remove the top panel. Remove the control panel housing and the wires from the main control board. Lift the front of the dryer and support it. Remove the screws securing the front panel. Lower the appliance and open the dryer door. Remove the front
panel screws. Lift the front panel up to detatch it from the cabinet. Remove the control board support bracket screws, then the front support brace screws. Detatch the brace. Release the lower support bracket screws and remove the front bulkhead mounting screws. Disconnect the sensor wire connector and remove the front bulkhead. Reach under the drum to unthread the belt from the pulley and motor shaft. Lift out the drum, lift the idler pulley arm up, and disconnect the spring and wire harness. Depress the belt switch locking tabs and remove it, then reverse this procedure to install the part.
I hope this helps.

The light comes on in the dryer, but hitting the start button does nothing. Is part wpw 10411937 the correct part for the console?
For model number Kenmore 11076002011
Hello Mary, thank you for your question. No, this part is a switch that is found by the motor. If the unit will not start we would recommend testing this switch, as well as the door switch PartSelect Number PS11741701, thermal fuse PartSelect Number PS11741460 as well as the bias thermostat PartSelect Number PS11746740. I hope this helps.

Hello Connie, thank you for inquiring. If your dryer will not start, you may want to consider replacing either the Door Switch part PS11741701 or the Internal-Bias Thermostat part PS11746740 for your model. We hope this helps!

Our Whirlpool Cabrio electric dryer has a fun issue: the dryer will run with the door open! When running with the door open, the light does not turn on. Which part needs replacing to solve this problem? The door switch?
For model number WED8200YW2
Hi Andrew, thank you for the question. Yes, the issue is most probably with the door switch, part number PS11753512. It prevents the dryer from running when the door is open. We would suggest replacing it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Is this switch the same as the motor switch inside Inglis dryer model YIED4400VQ1? I believe the motor unit on this dryer is 279827. I only need the centrifugal switch.
For model number YIED4400VQ1
Hello, thanks for the question. In this model, YIED4400VQ1, the centrifugal switch is included in the Drive Motor with Pulley (PartSelect Number PS334304), and is not sold separately. We hope this helps and good luck with your repair!
I have Whirlpool Cabrio dryer that does not start. We have replaced different parts and still not working. Suggested we replace dryer shut off on motor. Need part w10314253 and found part on website, but does it have 2 terminals that don't connect. Ours does not connect together, so wondering if this is right part?

My Dryer won't start. The lights work. We are thinking it may be the push button switch on the door. What is the part number for this ?
For model number MED6000XW0
Hello Jeanette, thank you for your inquiry. We have researched and found that the issue could be most probably with the door switch. The compatible door switch for your model is part number PS12348060. It prevents the dryer from running when the door is open. We hope that helps!
