F2,q1, sorry got them backwards on first post
For model number gh7208xrb1
Hello Michael, Thank you for your inquiry. This error usually indicates an error with the touchpad, the user display board or the wiring. The touchpad is part of the Outer Door Glass & Control Assembly, and the display board is part# WPW10115589. Hope this helps!

The display on the microwave has been beeping and flashing on and off for a few days. The touch screen was also intermittent. The other day it quit working completely and had a F9.Q code. In the code manual it says door control assembly. Looking for the correct part number to replace.

Hi Curt,
Thank you for your question. The F9.Q error code is a touch communication error code. Try unplugging the microwave for 2 minutes. If the error code returns, you will need to unplug the microwave and disconnect the power. Check the cable that connects the board to the touchpad and check both parts as well. You will need to test the parts with a multimeter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may reference on how to use one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWC44fHn0As. If one of these parts is the issue, you will need to replace it. If the error code returns after the part has been replaced, you will need to replace the door control assembly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
