My old auger came apart and would not turn all the time.
Removed the broken part of the auger, unscrewed the part still connected, and screwed on the new auger. Voila!

The fins of the Agitator Top broke off and the screw was missing.
I decided to replace the entire agitator. The Dispenser, Agitator, and the screw had already come off when it broke. All I had to do was pull/slide the base off the motor. Then I slid the new base in place, slid the agitator on top of the base. I then screwed in the retention screw (which was probably the hardest part due to the small

After taking those parts off, it took another minute to put the pieces back and

screw the new bolt back in place. Extremely easy - and much less expensive then having a repairman come out to fix it.

Auger Assembly on Maytag Washer was missing two agitation fins
I ordered the necessary parts which were so easy to find with Model Number of the Washer, ordered parts on a Tuesday and recieved them on a Friday!, wow was I surprised.
I simply removed the softener dispenser, used a socket set to remove single bolt and pulled broken agitator out and installed the new one after replacing the bolt.
