My Kenmore washing machine doesn't perform a cycle advance. When it starts, it usually stops with the tub full of water. I need to manually advance the selector to rinse settings and spins cycles to get the laundry to complete a full cycle. Therefore, i believe the selector switch is likely faulty. Comments?

Hello David, thank you for your question. Since you are able to manually change the cycles from fill, to agitate, to rinse, to spin, the most likely issue causing that is the timer PartSelect Number: PS11742067. The timer controls most of the operations of the washer: water level, tub filling and emptying, length of cycles, and cycle setting sequences. Good luck with your repair!

Cycle stops at rinse, doesn't drain, will only fill and wash. None of the other cycles work. Thanks

Hi Carol, thank you for your question. I would suggest you check your lid switch assembly. That part may be malfunctioning just after your wash cycle so it will not go into the spin and drain. If that part is not the issue then you may need to look at your timer. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Hi, could you please help me figure out my washing machine issue. My washing machine won’t agitate properly on regular or delicate speeds but seems to work fine on heavy duty speed.

The washer fills top level on all settings, the control knob on console, doesn,t say low med and high, it says light soil normal soil and heavy soil. Why would it fill to full on all settings, thanks for your help.James e.

Hi James,
Thank you for your question. If you are setting your washer to different water settings and you are getting a full load, then you will likely need to replace the water pressure hose. This is the hose that tells your appliance if your tub is at the desired water level. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My washer overfilled with water. I tried to turn the knob and advance to the spin cycle and pump the water out, but it would not spin. Is there something wrong with the cycle select switch? How can I get my washer to spin?
For model number 110.26832690
Hello Mark, Thank you for the question. You can first try to test the Pressure switch, PartSelect Number PS3408073 for continuity. This part is able to sense the water level in the tub. When the water reaches the desired level, this switch stops the water from flowing in the tub and the washing program begins. You can also check the hose going to the switch for blockages. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
We set the cycle selector switch, but when the machine starts it is agitating and then we hear it start to fill. When it is done it doesn't appear to have removed as much of the water as it used to.

hello Heather, Thank you for the question. This could be an indication the Washer Lid Switch is faulty. If your machine is having trouble starting, is not agitating, spinning, or is not draining properly, this could be because the lid switch has broken. We hope this helps!
