Ice maker stopped making ice; service man told me the temperature in the ice box was not cold enough, therefore no ice ?
For model number MF12269VEM10
Hello Gerald, thank you for contacting us. Yes, it is possible that a warm freezer can cause this issue. A faulty thermistor, part number PS2003772, is the most likely culprit. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
Hello - my fridge stopped producing ice - still dispenses water but never turns on to make ice - and we don’t hear it pushing water through to make the ice like before - definitely still cold enough
For model number MFI2269FRZ00
Hi Nad, thank you for getting in touch. Make sure the ice maker water fill tubes are not blocked. Also make sure the on/off switch on the ice maker is turned to on position. If all checks are fine, you will need to replace the ice maker assembly, part number PS11769140. Glad to be of assistance!
Is there a way to test the electrical continuity for the Ice Maker Compartment Fan Motor, model #WPW10162697?
For model number KFIS25XVBL1
Hello Ross, thank you for getting in touch. You can test the ice maker fan motor, part number PS11749292, using a multimeter. Test the fan motor for 12 VDC from the red with black stripe wire by connecting the red probe of multimeter for this wire to the black with green stripe wire by connecting the black probe of multimeter for this wire. If there is 12 VDC, then the fan motor is fine otherwise, you may need to replace it. We hope this information helps!
