My washer has an issue with unbalance. I have changed the suspension rods, drive hub and shaft and bearings. The tub ring does not have any visible damage or distortion. There is some looseness when I hold the outer tub and rock the inner tub. I just noticed that I can pick up (raise) the inner tub. Is this normal?
For model number MTW6500TQ0
Hi Brad,
Thank you for your question. Because the inner tub vibrates and shakes during the wash cycle, it has to be mounted in a way that lets it move around without banging into other parts of the machine. If you find the washer is still unbalanced after changing the suspension rods, the drive hub and the bearings, make sure the clothes are evenly distributed throughout the washer the next time you wash clothes and make sure that the washer is level. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
