Work d as expected
Part came fast, put in range. Didn’t solve my problem but does heat hotter than old one. Think it is brain box now and that is not offered on parts list, so will live with it as is.

The broiler will not heat. I assume i need a new broiler element? Also the oven works but it takes 20 minutes to preheat to 400 degrees. Is this the normal preheat time?
For model number GR673LXSB1
Hi Christine,
Thank you for your question. It could be your element that is the issue. I would suggest testing your element with a multi meter to double check and also testing your temperature sensor as well. The element should read between 0 - 50 ohms of resistance. The sensor should read between 1000 - 1100 ohms of resistance at room temperature. If both of those parts are working, it is likely that it is your control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Broiler does not heat. Took out old element and it measures 17 ohms disconnected. Good? I measured voltage with it hooked up and it was zero volts terminal to terminal. Not good? Measured each terminal to ground and got 121 volts.
The bake element and all burners work fine. The safety thermostat reads 0.2 ohms.
When the bake element is on, I get 240V terminal to terminal; 121V terminal to ground.
Does this sound like the broil element is toast or the control board?

Hello Joe, thank you for your question. A bake or broil oven element's resistance may be in the area of 20 to 40 ohms depending on its wattage. We recommend replacing the Broil Element FIX11747198. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.
