Washer is back in business!
The timer I purchased for my older model top-loading washer was easy for my repairman to install, and now the machine is working on all cycles again. Very happy with the product.

Does the timer unit's inner black spindle control shaft, that affixes the timer control knob on the control panel, come with the new timer unit (included as part of it)? If not, where can i find this part... it's not listed anywhere separately... I've spend hours checking for it myself.
For model number LSR7010PQ1
Hi Steve,
Thank you for your question. Anything that is directly attached to your Timer would come on your timer. There are only three other parts that make up the knob. The only black part is your d-shaped knob insert. Then there is your timer dial, and your timer knob. We also have front and back images of all of the parts in question so that you can make a visual comparison as well. I have linked all of the timer knob parts below for you. I hope that helps clear the information up for you. Good luck with your repair.
After water level is done filling, it will not advance. Is the timer/control the problem? I also tried manually turning knob to empty the tub, but it will not engage. It only lets water come in.

Hi David,
Thank you for your question. If the washer will not advance after filling with water, There are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. Here is a link from our website that you may reference on what parts to check, https://www.partselect.com/AdvancedModelSymptoms.aspx?ModelNum=WTW5300SQ0&mfgModelNum=&fkMfgID=3&ModelMasterID=207403&PID=32. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My machine is a Roper washer. It fills up to wash but it will not rinse on either cycle.
For model number wp8546685
Hello Terence, thank you for writing. This is likely due to a faulty Lid Switch or Timer, but we will need the model number for your washer to determine the compatible replacement parts for it. Here is a link to some tips on our website for locating the model number on your washer: https://www.partselect.com/Find-Your-Washer-Model-Number.aspx. We look forward to hearing back from you!

Hi,
My Whirlpool washer during the rinse cycle as it refills the water dribbles out slowly instead of the normal flow and i found that it does it on all the rinse cycle settings. If i turn the knob to regular fill setting it works normally and fills the tub without issue. I suspect the timer assembly has a bad contact on the rinse cycle settings. Thought?
For model number WTW5300SQ3
Hello Darrell,
Thank you for your question. Our sources agree, that it would be a defective timer that would be the cause of your washers issues, and the timer would need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

My washer will fill wash and spin and drain. But it will not work on the spin on any cycle
For model number Wtw5300SQ0
Hi Robbie. You seem to be on the right track. If it is physically able to spin but doesn't then it is likely a bad timer. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.

Every thing works but none of the rinse cycles work
For model number Wtw5300SQ0
Hello Robbie, thank you for your question. If everything works except the rinse cycles we would recommend replacing the timer. I hope this helps.
