If my Whirlpool slide in range is taking 45 minutes to heat to 200 degrees f, could the high limit switch need replacing? We replaced the broiler element and that didn’t repair the issue.

Hello Beth, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Long Oven Sensor, PartSelect Number PS1570174. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Largest dual heat element on electric range was turned on and working, near high temp and then turned off and now none of the burners will come on when activated.

Hello Leo, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, we would recommend checking the high-limit thermostat, part number PS11744548, to fix the issue. Before replacing the thermostat, we would recommend checking the terminal block to see if power is coming to the cooktop or not. We hope this solves your problem!
