I unscrewed the float and pulled it out to clean it. Is it supposed to screw back in tightly or "float" on top of the channel piece?
For model number DU920PFGB1
Hello Terri, Thank you for the question. It should be able to float with the water when it fills. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Old float popped out. Item number wp3376397. The nut is still in the shaft. Can the nut be removed by opening through the kick plate? Is the nut attached to the switch? By opening the bottom panel and accessing the switch can the old nut be removed or can it be reattached to the float? Do i need a new assembly unit? I really need help here as no one else can seem to answer this question. Many thanks, linda

Dishwasher keeps filling up with water even when you open up the door.
For model number du920gwdg3
Hi Chad, Thank you for the question. You can try to turn the power off to the appliance to see if the water is still filling up, if so you have a defective Water Inlet Valve. Hope this helps!
