Where is this located and how do i test it ?The thermal fuse
For model number Du840cwdb4
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. This part is located on the underside of the unit on the right side. The access panel will have to be removed to access this part. Test the part with a multimeter for continuity. If it does not show continuity the part should be replaced. I hope this helps!

I tested this fuse for continuity and it is blown (No continuity). My dishwasher will run but will not heat. The switch on the front panel that switches from air dry to heat dry passes current when switched to heat dry so I assume it's good. The heating coil has continuity so I assume it's good also. What would cause this thermal fuse to blow? I would hate to replace it only to have it blow again.
For model number DU810DWGQ2
Hi Gregory, thank you for your inquiry. The most common reasons a dishwasher's thermal fuse blows are water leaks, damaged wires, power surges, defective temperature sensor, and loose connections. Damaged wires and loose connections are the most common reasons we would suggest checking them. The thermal fuse for your model is part number PS11741258. We hope this information is useful!
