Will a bad cycling thermostat cause the inlet and outlet thermistors to fail?

Hello Rodney, thank you for your question. What Causes Thermistor Failure? Usually, thermistor failure is caused by an open circuit due to mechanical separation between the resistor element and lead material. This can happen as a result of improper handling, thermal mismatch, or heat damage. Or, moisture can seep in and cause it to fail as well as age. The thermostat was likely not the cause. Hello so my wife ran our dryer didn't notice it wasn't tumbling when I noticed it I found a screw lodged so I removed and it tumbles again but now it's hardly drying , I already replaced the cycling thermostat no luck any idea what might have went bad?

Hi Steven, thank you for reaching out. As you have already replaced the cycling thermostat, we would suggest checking the lint filter first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the blower wheel, part number PS11736644. It attaches to the drive motor shaft and blows air through the drum and out through the exhaust vent. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Does this part (BT-341) have a resistance of 0.1 or 0 ohms and rattle when you shake it?
