Thank you for your help. The dryer completes its cycle as normal, but the drum continues to spin unless the door is opened and left open. An appliance repair tech diagnosed it as needing a relay board replacement, so has it on order. I'm questioning the expense of the part and installation, versus buying a new dryer. If it was a simple solution, or diy part replacement, i'd tackle it myself. Thank you, jeff

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your question. The issue could be the door switch. The door switch is a safety feature found in all dryers. It is an on and off type switch that prevents the dryer drum from turning when the door is opened. If the dryer continues to tumble after the door is open the problem is most likely the door switch. I am not sure if your technician checked the switch, but if he did not this may be something to mention to him. If it is the electronic control board that needs to be replaced and you are worried about the cost, it is roughly a quarter of the of the cost for a new dryer. If you feel that a new dryer would be a better solution, that is a choice you will have to make. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Wanting to make sure part # erb6542925 will work for model dlex3370w. When i pull up the original part number of ebr6542933 its states that LG replace with erb6542925, but the model isn't listed as compatible. Also wondering why LG replaced the part number on a dryer that's only a few years old?

Dryer is getting power, tested with a voltage meter, but won’t turn on. Will replacing this board allow it to turn on?

Hello Christina, Thank you for your question. We suggest trying a few different parts before changing out the board. If the Door Swich PartSelect Number PS3529308 is not working, the unit will not start. Also, the Thermal Fuse PartSelect Number PS3530485, acts as a high-limit thermostat, and shuts off the heating element when the dryer overheats by cutting off power to the dryer. If the thermal fuse has blown, the dryer will not start
