Ice maker tube is freezing up solid causing a leak in the back. It seams that the water supply is not turning off completely and the ice builds up between the time it calls for water again. Already replaced the tube and the ice maker. I lowered the temperature in the freezer as well. Would the water supply valve fix this issue. Don’t know where else to look. Thanks for your input.
For model number LTCS24223S
Hello Timothy, Thank you for the question. This could indicate the Water Valve, PartSelect Number PS11709611 is not closing and allowing the water through to sit in the tube. We hope this helps!

On the back of the unit, I have a water leak at a black cover where the ice maker water supply line enters. I don't see any cracks and the cover screws are snug.Ice cubes are formed correctly and no internal leakage observed.
For model number LG LCTS24223S / 04
Hi Wesley, the most likely cause of leaks is water drain or supply/valve having cuts or snags or just not being fully secured. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
