The washing cycle stops and then it beeps and flashes 8 blinks, a pause, then 1 blink. Then I have to turn it off to drain it.
For model number YWFW9050XW00
Hello Andrew, Thank you for the question. This would be a F8 E1 Error code. F8 E1 error code on washing machine indicates water valves may not be turned on or the appliance is not filling with water properly. We suggest checking the hoses for clogs or kinks. Check the Valve screens where the hoses connect for blockage or build up. We also suggest checking the pressure hose. We hope this helps!

Hi there, Whirlpool front load washing machine on initial washing cycle keeps filling with water. It start turning for washing but still filling. Then it stops ( water level is approx mid window ) and an alarm is biping repeatedly. I have to clic on power (( only option available )) it then drain the machine. If i thereafter go in the « rinse and spin »menu, there is no issue with filling water to rinse. I tried on cold, warm, and hot cycles and it does the same problem. Wondering what could cause the issue. Thank you.

water pump failed
Pump started making noises like ball bearings grinding. took the lower front cover off pulled the strainer out of the pump housing and found $2.55 in nickles dimes and quarters. Some 223 bullets and about 20 bobby pins. Together they had destroyed the impeller, so ordering a new one and installing it did the trick. Easy installation about
