Had to remove top and right side of dryer. Bottom door on front had to be opened in order to access screws for right side. In order to remove top, screws on right and left sides towards front of dryer had to be removed by removing small plastic covers over the screws. ... Read more rear blowers will have to be removed by using an adjustable wrench to hold the shaft near where the belt pulleys are located. Use a 1/2" socket on the nuts holding the blower fans onto the ends of the shaft and remove the blower fans. Remove the wires from the motor by disconnecting the clips that attach them to the motor. The motor is held in place by a plastic U shaped device that has a pull handle on it. Pull the plastic device out from the right side and the motor will be able to be pulled loose from the back of the machine. Bushings are around the front of the motor shaft but should come out with the motor with no problem. Replace small belt and reverse the process. Make sure the motor is lined up so the plastic handle will slide back over the motor. The motor has flat spots on it for the plastic handle to fit over. The spring that puts tension on the belts can be removed by using pliers to hold it down to release the tension and pinch the lower clip that it is attached to in order to remove the spring. Be sure to remember which way the spring was installed.
Took the top off. Took the motor side off. Keep in mind screw orientation. Cleaned with vacuum. Found belt broken. Did NOT have to loosen motor or any motor bolts. Took spring out of slot.
