I was changing out a burned-out light bulb on the bottom of the unit. When i unscrewed it, the glass separated from the base and it shorted out. It tripped the circuit breaker in the electrical panel. Once i replaced the bulb and turned the breaker back on, the button on the control panel no longer would turn the cook top light on the bottom of the unit on. Reasonably sure there's a relay or module that was toasted inside the unit. Needing to identify the part needing replacement.

Hi William, thank you for reaching out. Here are some general instructions that will help you replace the control panel: Unplug the microwave and open the door. Remove the screw on the top of the panel. Push the control panel a little bit upward, the panel will snap out. Remove the ground wire screw first and then remove other wire harnesses. Then, remove 4 screws on the control board and remove the wire harness. Then, replace the control panel. It is an easy replacement. We hope this helps!
