What solvent will remove melted plastic from the oven interior and the element?
For model number WFC340S0ES0
Hello Morton, thank you for getting in touch. When cleaning melted plastic from an oven, you can rely on either the cold or the warm method. In the cold method, use an ice bag to freeze the plastic. This makes it more brittle and easier to break off with a knife or a scraping tool. In the warm method, use heat from the oven to melt the plastic and then scrape it off with a wooden spoon when it has softened up a bit. To remove plastic from the element, prefer the warm method. However, acetone and baking soda can also be used for scraping plastic. We hope this information is useful!
