I just replaced the thermal fuse and got the machine running again but it isn’t heating despite running the cycle. Suggestions?
For model number WED7800XW0
Hi Amy,
Thank you for your question. If you have replaced the fuse and the dryer is still not heating, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the heating element, the heating element connection wire, the internal bias thermostat, the moisture sensor, the thermal cut-off with high limit thermostat, the thermostat and the lint filter. Also, check the vent to make sure that it is not clogged with lint. If it is, you will need to clean it. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

After starting the dryer the drum won't turn and gives a constant buzzing noise. The drum belt is attached and if I manually start the motor by turning it, it will click and start turning the drum but it is a slower weaker turn
For model number WED7800XW0
Hello Paul, thank you for writing. If it's the motor buzzing/humming when the start button is pushed then it likely has a bad motor. Open the door and manually reach in and rotate the drum in the counter clockwise direction for a couple of complete revolutions and then shut the door and see if the dryer will start. The Drive Motor is PartSelect Number PS11754878. We hope this helps.

Dryer got to hot stopped heating do I need a thermal cut off fuse
For model number WED7800XW0
Hi Marie,
Thank you for your question. If your dryer got too hot and stopped working, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the high limit thermostat, the internal bias thermostat and the exhaust vent. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
Loud, high pitched squealing for the first 10 minutes or so when turned on. Then it stops and dries just fine
For model number WED7800XW0
Hello Connie, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the drive belt for any damage. If the belt is fine, then the issue is most probably with the drum support rollers. The drum support roller for your model is part number PS11752609. It is sold individually. We would recommend replacing the rollers. We hope this solves your problem!
After a few years of slamming the dryer door (at least that is what my husband says), the catch on the dryer door broke. Using pliers (I used needle nose) squeeze the outer edges of the catch together (vertically). With it compressed, it should slide out easily. My husband had jacked with ours prior to the repair, so the broken piece i
... Read moren the door was actually sideways and would not fit through the hole. Using a screwdriver, I pushed that piece into the door (it lives in the door somewhere now). I was then able to slide out the rest of the old catch. Compress the new catch and insert it into the hole in the door. Push it in until it clicks into place. DONE! Happy Drying!
The issue was the idler pulley. First I began opening up the front panel based on a youtube video but soon realized the model was slightly different and required a lot more items to remove. I saw the pulley in the back with nothing in the way so I put the front panel crap back on and removed the rear panel. There it was, very simple to re
