Our dryer will not start, the digital display comes on but it will not start. It dried a load but it got real hot so we shut it down for a couple of hours. I cleaned the lint filter and I cleaned out the hose.

Hello Gary, Thank you for the question. Sounds like the Fuse PartSelect Number PS11741460 may have blown. Hope this helps!
Hi Sandy, thank you for your question. We would suggest taking a look at your water line first. Make sure it is connected correctly and not broken. If this does not help, we would recommend checking the water inlet hose washer, part number PS11738697. Also, the water inlet valve, part number PS12584493. It controls the water flow into the dryer and allows steam to flow into the drum. We hope this information is useful!
Is it ok to only use the 2 bigger connectors on a replacement 4 connector cycling thermostat? there are only 2 wires on the original. I’ve been researching and many of the originals have 4 wires and mine only has 2. I’m guessing this is why they sent me a 4 wire replacement

Hello Doug, thank you for your question! Your model does not have a cycling thermostat. Internal bias thermostat and thermal fuse have two terminals. The high-limit thermostat, part number PS11742185, has 3 terminals. Two wires connect with it. We have included a video that you may help you. The dryer in the video may appear different from yours, but it will give you a general idea of how to install the high-limit thermostat. Let us know if you have further questions!
Issue: Cabrio drier runs with no heat output
Test performed: voltage at 4 prong outlet and at dryer's power cord connection maintains 123 volts on each leg.
condinuity on heater element and high limit thermostat = 9 ohms
thermal fuse = @ 0 ohms
outlet thermistor = 13 ohms @ 70 degrees f and decreases rapidly when hair dryer heat is applied.
no codes appear on panel at any time. all functions appear normal on panel screen.
what am i failing to id as my problem to restore heat to the dryer?

Hello and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty thermal fuse PS11741460 and/or possibly a faulty internal thermostat PS11746740, you should check the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace as necessary. Also do check all your connecting wiring. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
First I unplugged the dryer, then removed the back panel, this exposed most all of the wiring and I could see the heater coils. Not knowing what the problem was I started looking at the coils and could not see any broken parts. So then checked the thermal fuse for continuity I removed the two wires from it with a small pair of

Read moreneedle nose pliers, it was held in place by two screws, once they were removed the fuse came out easily, I checked continuity with a volt meter placing the meter on X1 Ohms and could not get a reading. I replaced with a new one and put it all back together the way I took it apart. Then I plugged it in and it worked first time, I now have warm dry clothes.
To reach the heating element you only need to open the back cover of the dryer (about 8 nut-head screws). Remember to disconnect the power.
To remove the heating element there are two small nut-head screws. Remove the two electric wires. Then you can pull the heating element away.
You can check the heating element wi

Don't hurry to dispose the old element. My model includes a small electric safety part. You'll need to transfer it to the new heating element (that comes without it)..
