The stub hose coming out of the gas tank....is it a vent hose and does not connect to carb or anywhere else? i removed the nipple assembly out of the fuel tank. it also has a clear fuel line running from the tank to the carb. i inherited this machine with no manual... it looks nearly new. thanks.

Hi Bob, Thank you for your question. The black hose coming out of the fuel tank would be the fuel vent hose. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.
