I have this very old stove, I love it. RIS 39 56. It has a French door oven door. When I turn on oven, I cannot control heat. It heats, but just keeps heating will get hot. Cannot do any time baking like cookies or cakes. Pizza, I just let it heat, then turn off when it looks done. I suppose I need a control part. I do think it was replaced before, maybe 20 years ago. It is 70 years or so. Otherwise works great!!

Burner was "shot"
After removing the 2 screws, pulling the element out, & disconnecting the 2 wires, I started installing the new element. 20 years ago, this may have been easy, but...after so many years of use, and grease fumes and who knows what, the new connections were difficult to connect. However , after a few choice words and a few alcoholic beverages, the new burner was installed and it works great! Thank you & keep stocking those "old" parts. I have 3 more burners & an oven fixture left ta go!
