How to reset filter light?
For model number RFG296HDWP
Hello Paul, thank you for writing. To reset the water filter indicator you need to find the multi-function button(s) on your display that controls the filter indicator. Then press and hold the button(s) until the light changes. Good luck with your repair.
Unscrewed 1 screw, removed panel, disconnected old icemaker and removed it, Added new icemaker, reconnected, replaced panel, replaced screw, & reset new icemaker. Started making ice almost immediately. Threw out entire first load of ice. Working great since! I wasn’t sure if it was the icemaker or the water valve to it so had a guy come
