How does the ice maker open to replace parts
For model number RF32FMQDBSR
Hi Melissa, thank you for contacting us. We would suggest following these general instructions for opening the ice maker: First, remove the ice bucket by lifting it slightly and then pulling it out. There might be a push button on the upper side which needs to be pressed to release the bucket. Remove the wire housing cover by releasing the screw using a Philips screwdriver. Pull the cover out using your hand. Unplug the wiring harness by depressing the locking tab. The next step is to remove the ice tray duct. For this, remove the screw on the front of the tray duct. Take a flat-blade screwdriver and put it in the small slot present on the left side. Pry the tray out by pushing it downwards with your thumb. It is recommended to defrost the ice maker completely before disassembling it. Pry down the cooling coil using a flat-head screwdriver. Now, with the ice maker opened, you may take it out of the refrigerator by pressing the locking tab at the top of it. Slide the ice maker forward and pull it out. We hope this information helps!

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.
