Freezer will freeze for 2 or 3 days and then stop working.

Hi Wayne, Thank you for your question. If your freezer is running intermittently, you may have dirty condenser coils. The coils dissipate heat as refrigerant passes through them and if they are dirty, they will not dissipate the heat effectively. If they are dirty, clean them. There are some other parts that you will need to check also to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the evaporator fan motor, the condenser fan motor and the start relay. You will need to test the parts with a multimeter. ice was accumulating around door

food was thawing, water on floor from defrosting.
removed the main screw to expose the cold control, checked for power at the 2 power terminals. no power. ordered new control and resolved the problem. easiest repair I have ever done.

Not cooling at all.
Removed four screws and took out the old cold control and put in the new one. This saved me almost $250 dollars by doing it myself.
