To replace a filter, on my range, i just pull down on the old ,and push up tp place the new one in. the were no screws ,to take out. New Range Hood not vented

This was an easy repair. The range hood was a GE 30" in Slate. Bypassing the venting option required installation of the charcoal filter. At first, the filter installation holes did not line up perfectly. But the filter is pretty much infinitely adjustable by rotating the adjustable ring. Note: the shipped part (charcoal filter) comes with no instructions for installation....but it is easily figured out by adjusting the rotating ring.
