This 40w light bulb is a replacement bulb constructed of glass and metal. It is an easy-to-install electrical part which produces 40w of light. If the bulb won't light up then it may be broken and should be replaced. The bulb attaches directly to an appropriate light socket and has a small screw-in base. To access the exterior light bulb, you will need to remove the panel on the bottom of the microwave using a Phillips screwdriver. If your exterior light bulb has not been changed before, it is probably held in place with some silicone. You will need to cut away this silicone to remove the old bulb. If you cannot access the silicone with a utility knife, it can be removed using dental floss. Once the silicone is removed, simply unscrew the old bulb, and replace it with the new one. Be sure to disconnect the power to the microwave before you begin this repair. This light bulb measures about 1 1/8 inches. We do not recommend using a higher-wattage bulb for this appliance, and can only recommend this specific bulb. If fixing the bulb does not solve your microwave light issue, it's possibly a problem with the socket, which means the socket and/or board will need to be replaced. This can be a more dangerous repair, so consult your user manual or a technician before attempting.

Burned out light under microwave and Filters needed changing
I just removed the multiple screws which held the hood cover on. I then attempted to remove the light bulbs from the socket. This proved impossible because the bulbs were so fragile from the heat and grease build up. To make this task much easier and probably safer, just replace the bulb housing and light bulb. The bulb housing unplugs very easily. Just replace it then screw your new bulb in. P.S. Be sure to unplug appliance before you start.The filters are very easy to replace. No tools needed.

interior drawers were off their rollers
pulled the washer out and replaces the top roller system on both sides and the replaced the weels and brackets on the bottom drwaer. however i had trouble putting the dish washer back correctly and had to call a repairman to adjust the dishwasher and alighn it to open and close properly. but i did do good inside. i feel it was easy and a success. thank you for having the supplies for us to attempt to repair it on our own.

The surface burner plug-in block kit features a newer-style terminal block. This kit is designed for use with ranges and cooktops. This terminal block is how the coil element on your stove connects to the inner wiring of your appliance. Without this connection your burner element would not get the electrical current it needs to heat up. When your element will not heat at all, or if it is not heating properly it is likely an issue with the terminal block. You need to remove the element to replace this part. While you have the element out, inspect the element and the terminal for any corrosion, arcing, or discoloration. If you notice any damage to the element or the terminals we recommend you replace this part as well. This kit includes two metal brackets, two pre-crimped high-temperature wire leads, two ceramic wire nuts, two heat-shrinking insulators, and a mounting screw. Surface elements quit working
Drilled out old and broken hold down clips, installed new ones(4). Cut old wires attached to surface plug in block, striped wires, and attached new plugin kit(4), warmed up heat shrink with a hair dryer, put in new drip bowels, the stove is like new.I ordered the parts on line early one morning, the next day they were at my door and installed that day, everything that I ordered was there, and fit properly.

Microwave glass turntable when pop
After popping the last few kernals of popcorn, we hear a different kind of pop sound come from our microwave oven. When we looking inside, we found that the glass turntable had broken unevenly in half. Although we didn't understand why it had happned, we did know we'd be without the use of the microwave without a new one. Broke the glass panel inside the oven door -- dropped a baking dish on the glass!
Easily removed the door from the oven by releasing clips attached to the door hinge -- very nicely engineered. Removed about 6 philips head screws to allow the door assembly to be taken apart for access to the glass. Lifted out the broken glass, cleaned the inside of the door, installed the new glass, reassembled the door (a two minute project), and reattached the door to the oven. Cleaning the inside of the door took longer than the actual repair!

The baking element was easier than the sensor. Removed the 2 screws holding the element into the back bottom of the oven, and pulled the element forward to disconnect from clamps. Inserted new element into clamps and screwed it in. ***NOTE that there will be a smell from the new element. This smell is normal. If your oven is too hot, not heating evenly, is not heating enough when baking, or simply will not start, you could have a faulty temperature sensor. A faulty temperature sensor can be a fire risk. Over heating oven and uneven baking. Oven thought it was in self cleaning mode.
Sensor replacement was removing 2 screws and gently pulling on old sensor until the clip comes out. Secured the other end of the wires so that it did not fall back inside. Then connected the new sensor clip to the oven wire, then gently returning wire into oven, and then screwing the sensor into place. The baking element was easier than the sensor. Removed the 2 screws holding the element into the back bottom of the oven, and pulled the element forward to disconnect from clamps. 8 inch burner wouldn't come on. Wires shorted out
One screw holds the block onto the stove top. Had to clean out fitting for phillips screwdriver or screw would have stripped because it was old with lots of buildup. Even cleaned out, this screw required great force with phillips screwdriver to keep from stripping. Caution! If you strip it, you'll have to drill it out! The rest was a snap. Cut the old wires leading to the old block (not too close to where wires disappear into back of stove, though!). Strip insulation off both wires and attach with the connectors that came in the kit. Then push the wires into the block, and finally, attach the block back to the stove top (new screw is supplied). Restore power and everything should be fine. One problem: Roper/Whirlpool built their appliance in such a way that when the connector block shorts out, it usually takes the infinite switch with it. So I ended up having to go back and purchase that switch as well (which just so happens to cost twice to three times as much!). If you put it all back together and it still doesn't work, that's probably what happened, so go ahead and remove the knob panel and check that switch (it's right behind the control knobs on the front). You will probably find a burned connector at the back top left or the switch. Don't forget to write down which wire goes where (or just take a picture of it).

After running oven in BROIL for lengthy period, entire oven shut off, thermal fuse blown
USE 2 PEOPLE FOR SAFETY! SWITCH OFF OVEN POWER BREAKER!! Remove screws attaching oven to wall opening, slide out entire oven just far enough to get to 2 screws on either side of controls, remove those screws (may need stubby screwdriver), lift control front, opens forward, have 2nd person hold control panel cover while removing centered thermal fuse (plugs on both ends, may need needle-nose pliers to grip plug on fuse.) Remove old fuse, plug in new one. Close control panel, replace side screws, TEST POWER BEFORE pushing oven back into wall, replace wall-holding screws. Less than 30 minutes. EXTRA PERSON MAKES EASY!
