Washer Charcoal Filter
PartSelect Number PS1871363
Manufacturer Part Number 8206230A
This Charcoal Filter traps grease from your oven's exhaust to help prevent it from entering the vent, which could cause damage over time. If the exhaust fan on your microwave is not working, you may need to replace your charcoal filter. This charcoal filter is located within the intake grille of your microwave, which will need to be unscrewed and opened to gain access to the filter. The manufacturer recommends that you change your charcoal filter every six months. This filter measures 5 inches by 5.375 inches by 0.375 inches. Be sure to measure your current filter to assure correct replacement. This product is sold individually. We recommend the use of gloves during installation to protect your hands from messy grease during your repair. You should also unplug your appliance at the electrical outlet or switch it off at the breaker. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unthread the screws securing the grill. Open the door and slide the grill to the left and lift it up to remove it. This will allow access to the filter so it can be either replaced or cleaned. Remember to insert the tabs of the grill into the frame and slide it to the right when you are done. To finish, shut the oven door and secure the grill with the screws.

Mounting brackets are fragile and plastic support is easily broken
Replaced the intake grille. The grille should be removed prior to cleaning. The entire part is plastic and easily broken so that the two tabs for the mounting screws are shattered and will not hold the part in place. If one attempts to clean the grille using only a moderate amount of pressure with a cloth the fragile plastic will break. The part is poorly designed. When the vent is removed to replace the charcoal filter, one may discover that the grille has already been broken in a previous cleaning operation.

Dryer not heating
I followed video instruction in disassembling and set screws from each section into diferent small bowls in the order they were removed. Hardest part was some of the screws were really hard to get loose without stripping them and my control panel did not match video but I figured it out. Replacing the parts were easy and putting it back together. While it was apart I cleaned everything including fan blower wheel. Thanks for the right parts and your online video. With your help and a prayer this 62 year old woman fixed the problem and dryer runs like new.

Washer running but not draining
Followed YouTube instructions to lay the machine on its back, for easier access to the pipes and drain pump from the exposed bottom of the machine. Cleared the pipes first of a slight clog in the filter, turned the machine upright again, but it still did not drain. Laid the machine on its back again, after ordering a new drain pump, and fitted the new pump. Again, it did not work, but left the new pump in and ordered a new control board. Fitting a new control board involves detaching the control panel and cabinet top, which is not hard, then extracting the old control board. Taking off the wiring clips turned out to be significantly more difficult than re-connecting them when the new control board arrived. Fitting a new control board can easily be done with the machine upright. This time the draining did work, yay, and the washer is now fully functional again.

Dryer lint filters are designed to catch and hold any excess fabric and dust floating around in the dryer drum. Washer Filter Case
PartSelect Number PS4206806
Manufacturer Part Number DC61-02610A
This lint screen case, or lint filter case is specially designed for Samsung dryers. It is responsible for securing the lint screen inside the lint screen housing and preventing it from falling out. The case also allows you to remove and handle the lint screen easily. The screen helps to capture lint from clothes during the drying cycle and prevent it from clogging the dryer vent. If the lint screen case is faulty, the screen may become damaged or it may fall off leading to lint build-up, restricted air flow, longer drying times, and potential fire hazards. It is recommended to inspect and clean the lint filter case after every load of laundry and replace it promptly if it is no longer in good working condition.
