It drags snow along the ground and pushes it through the chute for discharge. Additionally, it serves to protect the snowblower housing. The blade typically has indicator holes near the paddle edges, and if it has worn beyond these holes, it is time for a replacement. You may also notice reduced snow-throwing distance or snow being blown into the machine and coming back out. To remove this blade, you will need a wrench set, a torx bit, and a screwdriver. You may have to remove surrounding screws to access the rotor blade. Detach the blade rotor by removing the spacers at its center.
