Washer Dryer Combo Damper
PartSelect Number PS3535020
Manufacturer Part Number MCQ41502701
This is a pump bracket damper for models of LG washing machines. This damper is used to protect the pump within the washer from excessive vibration damage during the washing cycle. If your washing machine is vibrating or making an excessive amount of noise during the cycle, these dampers could be worn out and in need of replacement. This damper is made of rubber and measures approximately 1 inch long and 1 inch wide. Replacing this damper will require you to access the underside of the washer, or wherever the pump location is for your model. This OEM damper is sold individually, and most washers use 2-3 of these dampers for the pump bracket, so consider how many you need before ordering.

Washer Dryer Combo Guide,Filter
PartSelect Number PS3524629
Manufacturer Part Number 4974EL1003B
The filter guide is found in your dryer and is what houses and supports the lint screen located in the exhaust air duct. This part is located at the bottom part of the dryer opening. The housing is approximately 14 inches long and 5 inches wide, with a moon shape on the top where the lint trap goes. The filter guide may break of wear down over time and with repeated use, and may need to be replaced. This OEM part comes right from the manufacturer and is sold individually.

The holder for the lint screen was removed to vacuum lint. It broke when turned on.
I found that the screws that hold it in were a bit too short. After several cleanings I re inserted the screen only to have it dislodge and break. I ordered a new part and after using a drift pin and lamp I found that the screws were too short and the threads needed to secure it were worn. Longer screws solved the problem. Read more...

Washer Dryer Combo Side Venting Kit

5 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS3575086
Manufacturer Part Number 3911EZ9131X
This dryer side vent kit lets you vent the exhaust to the side or bottom of your dryer instead of the default rear position. Included in the kit are 2 straight aluminum foil outlet ducts, each 4 inches wide, along with 1 duct elbow, 1 cover plate, 1 screw, and an instruction sheet. This is helpful for flexible installation in areas where rear venting is not possible or practical. All parts are genuine replacements from their original manufacturer.

Install aftermarket side vent kit
I did as I was told (by my wife). Bought the machine from Home Depot - no side vent kit - had them complete the installation today when the kit came. Read more...

Fixes these symptoms

loud noise inside dryer
After changing all the rollers in the dryer (which didn't fix the problem) I decided to take apart the blower. Sure enough, that was the problem. As the dryer heated up, the damaged wheel would swell and start rubbing the housing. I replaced both and fixed the problem. The repair was pretty easy, since I had taken the dryer apart several times replacing the rollers. Read more...

Washer Dryer Combo DUCT-AIR

Screen on the hot air vent disintegrated
It is odd that this part needed replacement but I am in an area near the Atlantic ocean in a vacation house which is vacant most of the year. The exhaust vent probably brings excessive moisture down to the dryer in the basement. The screen you can see at the inside back of the tumbler (where the heated air enters) rotten out, pieces fell inside and there was danger of something falling in and catching fire. I found no useful source for information (including YouTube) as this part is most easily replaced from the rear of the dryer and the available info was about repairing the heating element, the circuit board, or the exhaust venting pieces which is done from the front.

The bottom line is that the back removes easily. You should:
1. unplug and remove the exhaust shoot
2. remove the top per YouTube or other source
3. take off the back panel over the electrical connections and unscrew the ground; tuck it inside. Don't undo any electrical connections except the ground
4. take off the screws holding the back on (8-9, one is hidden above the exhaust vent) and pull it out of the way; you then have compete access to the "DUCT-AIR" part
4. undo the clip that holds the vent tube (from the heating element) to the part
5. remove the screws that hold the part to the inside back (3?) and push it out of the way
6. remove the clips and remove the old part
7. reassemble in reverse order

I'm over 70 so I took lots of time and breaks but was still done in under two hours. The 2 clips holding the heater element tube to the part were badly rusted and should have been replaced but I made do with the old ones.
