The Oven Bake Element is a black, metal part which supplies heat to the oven. This element is 19-1/2" wide x 18-1/2" long and has 3-1/2" inserts. It is rated as "Easy" to install by users, and attaches to the bottom of the oven. If you notice visible damage, or that your oven is not receiving heat properly then it may be a problem with this part. Check your model number and user manual to see if this is the right part for you. It is important for you to disconnect your appliance from the power source before performing this repair. After disconnecting your appliance, remove the two screws/nuts connecting the old element, pull it out, and discard if faulty. Simply connect the new element prongs where the old element fit, and screw it back in. You may need a flashlight when making this repair.

This chrome drip bowl is designed for use with electric cooktops and ranges. This drip bowl is sold individually. At the widest point this part has a diameter of approximately 10 inches. It sits beneath the surface burner element. It catches any drips or spills coming from the cookware on your burner. Because the cooktop is a high-traffic area of the kitchen, these bowls often get damaged, or get so dirty they can no longer be adequately cleaned. When replacing this part you need to remove the burner element. While you have it out we recommend inspecting the terminals and the element for any corrosion, arcing, or discoloration. Any of those things could be a sign of a bigger problem, and it indicates that the element and terminal block should be replaced.

This part connects the wire harness to the surface element and is used for ranges. The kit includes interchangeable mounting brackets, ceramic wire nuts, heat shrink protective tubing, and wires. If your range/oven is having symptoms such as burner not heating, heating elements not working, burning smell, or if the oven is making a buzzing noise then this could be the solution. The tools needed to replace the kit are wire strippers, a heat gun or hair dryer, and #1 square heard screw driver. rental property stove only had 2 working burners and bottom drawer off track
first i took out burners then i took out the screws of the termnal block bracket. i then raised the lid on the stoveand clipped the wires on all 4 of the terminal block kits.i then slipped the shrink wrap on wires and used the wire nuts to connect wires together then heated the shrink wrap. I then put screws back in terminal block brackets. I then put the burners on while looking under lid so i would know they were making good connections as this is a bad design from factory. if you pull out burners to clean them and they are not put back in right you dont have a good connection and that causes the terminal blocks to get hot and melt. thats what happened in my case. This is a flat style oven igniter used to light the oven burner in a gas range. When the element in this igniter glows white hot, the gas is released from the safety valves, which lights the oven burner. If your range is not heating properly, or not heating at all, it might indicate a problem with this part. If the element in the igniter is only glowing red or orange, or not glowing at all, it will need to be replaced. This is a shorter style igniter. Oven quit heating.
After reading up on the problem of the gas oven not lighting I decided I needed to install a new igniter. I had read where some people just pulled a panel off the back and installed a new one.. yeah, no such luck with this model so I had to crawl into the broiler drawer space [which I had to clean out first]. Note, if you wear trifocal glasses you might as well close your eyes and replace it by feel because there is no way to tilt your head back enough to see what you are doing and still get both arms and your chest in a broiler. Also be sure to remove all cats and dogs from the area before starting. They seem to think they can help or it's a game of hide and seek and they want to hide with you.. they were no help at all. This OEM 40 watt appliance light bulb is used for some ranges, refrigerators, freezers, and microwaves. Simply locate the existing bulb, unscrew it from its socket, and replace with new light bulb. If the existing bulb is broken in the socket, disconnect the power to the refrigerator and use a pair of needle nose pliers to grip the internal fragments of the bulb to unscrew. Replace with the new bulb and reconnect the power to the refrigerator. These bulbs are sold individually and are a commonly replaced part; consider ordering a spare.

Ice-Maker and Water Dispenser not working.
First I disconnected the power cord, then removed the screws that held the bracket that holds the base for the water-filer in place. I then disconnected the water lines(intake and outflow). Next I removed the screws that held the water-filter's base in place. I then disconnected the release lock mechanism for the filter and finally removed the water-filter base. I did the reverse to install the new water-filter base. Previously I had tested the intake water line and noticed the water was flowing with enough pressure upto the water-filter's base but no water was exiting thru the outflow line, which leads to the Ice-Maker and Dispenser. I had tried changing the filter but that didn't solve the problem it was then I had realized that the Base was the problem. The actual problem was the spring-loaded valves for both the intake and outflow lines, which had a plastic prong that protrudes out of the base that is triggered by the filter when installed. The two prongs were worn-down so the filter wasn't activating the spring-loaded release valve to let the water thru. As for the light, I just unscrewed it.

If you are having trouble opening your drawer easily or it has been damaged/broken, replacing the rear drawer glide could be the solution. The glide attaches to the rear of the oven drawer and supports the sides of the drawer. This allows the drawer to slide in and out of range without difficulty. Only one tool is needed for this repair, a flat blade screw driver. Make sure to unplug the oven and wear gloves before repair to protect hands in case range is not cooled before repairing. This element is a genuine OEM replacement part, has looped terminal ends, comes with a black medallion center, and fits most electric ranges. All burners are made of a heating wire that produces heat from electricity. Remove the non-functional burner element from the terminal block (or receptacle). Use a multi-meter to check for continuity. Check the end of the terminals for corrosion or heat damage. If there is corrosion or heat damage, replace the whole terminal block or receptacle at the same time you replace the damaged coil. Before you start this repair, make sure that the element is turned off and cool to the touch.

Burners on 53 year old range kept going out
When we bought our home less than a year ago, we had three functional burners on our 40" wide 50's classic Kelvinator (not close to standard size these-a-days). After a few months of use, two more burners went out for good and we were stuck using the back left burner for all of our cooking. I opted for the premium burners and made sure to compare my terminals with the ones online to be sure they mounted the same. I removed the burners and terminals, clipped the wires going into the terminals, and removed the top of the stove. I followed the directions that came with the new terminals, pushed in the new burners and viola! All four burners now work. I gave the stove a general cleaning and now my 1954 Kelvinator looks and cooks like it is brand new. It was easily the best $109 I've spent on my home.

The oven temperature sensor for your range may also be called a probe. The quick connect on this part may differ than your original piece. If the temperature sensor does not fit you will have to cut off the quick connect, and then wire together with porcelain wire nuts. The function of the oven temperature sensor is to measure the temperature in the oven and signal the other heating components. Before you begin this repair make sure to disconnect the power to the range. The tools required for this installation include a number two Phillips screwdriver or a number two square head screwdriver, and maybe a pair of wire strippers and crimpers.

Oven not heating to desired temperature
Replaced clock control by removing surface burner control knobs and plastic nuts, and then the cover over the oven control. Two screw hold the clock in place, after removal and disconnecting the plug-in you can reinstall the new clock control. The Heat Sensor inside the oven will also need to be replaced. It is located inside the oven and attached with two screws; the back of the oven will need to be removed to unplug. Reverse removal procedure and turn the power back on to the stove.
