This OEM Seal-Oil (PTO Side), also called the Oil Seal, is a Black, Nitrile Rubber, 2/14 O.D., individually sold part which is installed using a Seal Puller. Customers rate the installation difficulty as Medium. This part provides a seal around the crank shaft and engine block. When installing onto the engine block around the crank shaft, use something that makes contact around the entire seal, like a large socket or pipe, and tap into place evenly, ensuring that the housing is clean and dry. If the part is broken, likely due to fatigue, there will be leaking oil, and this part should be replaced using the model number on the original part to confirm it is the right fit for your model.

Snapper Lawn Tractor Gasket-CylinderHead
PartSelect Number PS9067184
Manufacturer Part Number 693997
This is a replacement cylinder head gasket for your small engine. The gasket is approximately 5 inches in length and 5 inches in width at its longest and widest points. The gasket creates a seal, and the seal allows combustion to occur, making your engine run at peak performance. If the gasket is damaged or coming apart, you may notice a decrease in the power and performance of your engine. When you remove the old gasket, be sure that the surface you are attaching the new one to is completely clean, so the seal will be effective. This part is sold individually and it is a genuine OEM part.

Snapper Lawn Tractor Seal-O Ring
★★★★★

PartSelect Number PS9294749
Manufacturer Part Number 691917
The Seal-O Ring, also known as the gasket, is red in color, made of rubber, and is an OEM part that requires some skill to replace. This part is designed to create a seal between the carburator and manifold, to prevent air from entering. If your engine loses power, creates a hissing noise, or if the gasket appears damaged or your engine running improperly it may be time to replace the part. If you run the engine and spray the outside of the carburator with soapy water, you can test whether or not the gasket is leaking by listening to the sounds produced. If the sound smooths out then you've found your leaky gasket. Damage may occur over time, especially if the part dries out, and make the part appear stretched or worn out. When making this medium-difficulty repair, make sure the new gasket is fitted properly between the carburetor and intake manifold.

Screw can out of the carburator throttle baffel and stuck in the exhaust valve
No compression. Removed the cylinder head. freed the screw, checked the valve to see if it still sealed. Turned the head over with the valves in it, install a spark plug, fill the head dome with gas and see if any leeks out over a 2 hr period. If not you are good to go. Reinstalled every thing with new gaskets and a new carburetor screw. Set the valves to spec. Complete the rebuild and there you have it. Rebuild the carburetor while you have it apart. This motor runs great !!! Read more...
