ght 22 hedge trimmer primer bulb does not prime, got unit from neighbor to fix. switched lines and same problem. starting fluid unit does turn over. pulled carb apart everything looks clean. any ideas why primer does not prime?
For model number ght 22 weed eater
Hi Lawrence,
Thank you for your question. If the primer bulb will not prime and you have already replaced the lines and took the carburetor apart, check the seals around the tank for signs of damage or wear and make sure that the gas vent is open. Also make sure that the fuel in the tank has not been in there for more than 90 days. If these are fine, we would recommend replacing the carburetor. We hope this helps!
