The oven is baking extremely hot. I will set it to bake at 350 and within minutes the food is burnt to a crisp (totally black)! Im assuming either a sensor or the whole control panel is not working. What do you suggest?

Hello Karen, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the temperature sensor, part number PS11749737. It detects the temperature within the oven cavity. You may need to replace the temperature sensor to fix the issue. We hope this helps!
Getting the error code. Broil k3 - replace control f6e1 runaway temp. What part specifically do I need to get and replace?

Hi Zachary, Thank you for the question. The first thing to try is to disconnect the poser to the unit. Wait for about 5 mins then restore power to see if that resets the code. if this does not fix the issue, I suggest testing the Oven Sensor,PartSelect Number: PS11749737.Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. If the sensor is good the Main Board, Part Number: PS11753211 will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

How easy is this to replace for a basic diy-er? Our oven will not bake and is stuck on broil. From all we are reading it says it is the control that needs to be replaced. The oven is only 4 years old so we are not sure if we should fix or replace.
Hello Chad,
Thanks for your question. This part is typically quite easy to install. Unplug your range, unscrew the back of the control panel, and disconnect the wire harnesses to access the board. The solution to your issue and the exact part needed may vary from model to model, keep in mind.
I hope this helps.

I set the bake temp to 325F and the broil came on during preheating and scorched my cake. What’s wrong?

Either the bake or broil element will come on. Is there a diagnostic test on the Control panel to see if that’s the issue?
For model number YWFE710H0BH1
Hello Wade, Thank you for the question. Unfortunately the board can not be tested. Sometimes there will be burn marks on the board where it may have shorted out. If both elements have continuity and the wiring is good, it is most likely a faulty Oven Control Board. We hope this solves your problem!

My Ovens Broke!!!
The oven will only heat to 210F set at 350F and if you turn the Broiler on and set the temperature to 475F it will heat to set temperature and maintian set temp. But on Bake it won't hold the set temp. I don't think it's the temperature probe. Once when my wife was making muffins it went wide open and burnt them. We called a local Service man to Check it out. Couldn't Find any issues with it. But we had a potatoe explode in the oven and the Temperature probe got bent during cleaning and was shorting against the frame of the oven. When I noticed it, I streightened it out and worked fine, could this be causing a problem now??
