Had a power surge and now my oven barely heats up. Preheated to 350 and after 20 minutes it was only teasing 171 degrees

You should try a hard reset first. Go to your breaker box, turn the breaker for your unit off, wait 5 minutes and turn the breaker back on.if this does not help then you might have a defective sensor PS4240743. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.
We had SE error code. We pulled out the cable tape and cleaned contacts gently with an eraser. It worked for a little while but we have error again. Not sure if we should spring for new control board. I appreciate any assistance you can give.

I took off the back cover after I looked at youtube similar problems. Then removed the little thermostat and un hooked the 2 wires. I looked up the part and after is was delivered couple days later I connected the 2 wies and after putting the back cover on the oven was back to normal. Was such an easy repair and the part was only $11.
My barely 4 year old Samsung range/oven began not heating consistently. Even though it said 350, for example, we had to increase to 465 to get it to bake. Thought it was the temperature sensor.
