The touchpad doesn’t respond to anything. Freezer/refrigerator read 88 on freezer and refrigerator alternates between 68 and 88. Water/ice dispenser doesn’t work at all. I already changed the filter and nothing changed. Inside light works sometime but most of the time not. Ice maker is making very little ice but does make a little. Maybe enough for a glass of water per day.

Hi Rob, thank you for contacting us. Considering all the symptoms you mentioned, the issue might be caused by an electrical power surge. We would recommend resetting the unit. For this, unplug the refrigerator, wait for 5 minutes, and then plug it back in. If the issue remains, we would suggest checking the electronic control board, part number PS2371143. Hi. Does the GE refrigerator (model gfss6kkyass) have one control board that controls both the refrigerator and freezer sections or one control boards for the refrigerator section and a second, separate control board for the freezer section. Could you please direct me to these part(s)?

Unscrew old filter and remove(counterclockwise). Line up arrow on new filter with arrow on connection housing. Turn clockwise till resistance met. Do not overtighten. Follow directions. Simple.

After watching the video several times to confirm I was installing the door mullion spring according to the video instructions, I tried inserting the bent end of the door mullion spring into the upper hinge, which proved to be the correct installation of the door mull spring. What should have been a 5 minute repair turned into an ½ hour repair.
