I tried to loosen the nut to change the paddle location but the nut is on a bolt with a round Philips head and the bolt turns with the nut. I hack sawed a kerf in the Philips to get a real screw-driver on it and eventually got it apart to find the paddle position can't be altered. Assign a bunch of desk-jockey engineers to a project and so long as it looks pretty it's done, don't matter it won't work at all. I can't send it back with my Alterations but it won't work proper anyway so time for a new $300 saw. A bargain considering an ambulance ride is nearly $ 1500. $2000 if they give an Aspirin for the pain. For $57 I'll lick my wounds and be fine. I'll write it off as a bad-date.
