A switch (has a part number 50 54073 042 engraved on the metal top of the switch) is defective. It belongs to an old KANMORE cook-top on which the switches are all attached in a row on the right side. The broken switch belongs to a burner that has 2 heating surfaces: an inner, smaller one and one that heats a larger surface in addition to the inner one.
I found a switch (optically identical) with your company, but these have the part numbers 5054073041 or 5054073043. My question: Can I buy and install one of the switches in place of the defective switch with part number 50 54073 042?
For model number 79040503601
Hello Herbert, thank you for your question. The numbers that you have provided are not part numbers so they are not part of looking up the parts. The switch for the middle (oval shape that has two burners) called a bridge is part PS1529264. The switch for the Dual ( Front right and left) is PS899921. We have great videos to drawn on for installation. We are pleased to have been able to help.

First you must disconnect power by throwing the circuit breaker off.You need to pull knobs from cook top. check underside to see if it is mounted to counter top, mine was not. Then raise the cook top and support bottom with 2x2's. Mine had three main screws in front, one on the sides and two in the back. The other thing you need to do is
... Read moreloosen the metal plates that have two screws on each plate. Three plates in front, two on each side and three in back. Once these are loosen, you can lift the stove top up to reveal the indicator lights. I found it was easier to support the top with a pan or something while working on it. Replace your indicator light and put everything back together.. It really wasn't to bad.
