This part connects the wire harness to the surface element and is used for ranges. The kit includes interchangeable mounting brackets, ceramic wire nuts, heat shrink protective tubing, and wires. If your range/oven is having symptoms such as burner not heating, heating elements not working, burning smell, or if the oven is making a buzzing noise then this could be the solution. The tools needed to replace the kit are wire strippers, a heat gun or hair dryer, and #1 square heard screw driver. Refer to the installation/instructional video for further guidance to accurately replace the element.

rental property stove only had 2 working burners and bottom drawer off track
first i took out burners then i took out the screws of the termnal block bracket. i then raised the lid on the stoveand clipped the wires on all 4 of the terminal block kits.i then slipped the shrink wrap on wires and used the wire nuts to connect wires together then heated the shrink wrap. I then put screws back in terminal block brackets. I then put the burners on while looking under lid so i would know they were making good connections as this is a bad design from factory. if you pull out burners to clean them and they are not put back in right you dont have a good connection and that causes the terminal blocks to get hot and melt. thats what happened in my case.

If the burner element on your range will not heat up, or is damaged, it may need to be replaced. This part is 8 inches in diameter, and should not be confused with the smaller 6-inch model. The part is 220 Volts and 4 Turn. The burner element connects to the terminal block inside the range. To do this repair, simply remove the old surface element and replace it with the new part. This product is sold individually. As the surface element is hot when it is on, be sure to unplug the range from the power source before completing this repair.

This part is sold individually. This is a part for your stove top. The surface element is what your cookware sits on. The element supplies heat at varying temperatures. This may need to be replaced if the coil has shorted out or the terminal block shorted, and this caused the connectors at the end to burn out. The element is set in place by springs. You will need to push the springs in to release the old element. Make sure the drip bowl is lined up with the terminal block and press the new element into place.

Stove top element not working due to bad receptacle.
Turned off the power at the breaker box, cut the wires approximately 5 inches from the bad receptacle and removed it after removing one screw. Stripped back the wires about 1/2 inch and attached the new wires with the ceramic wire nuts provided and secured the receptacle back in place with the new screw provided in the kit.
My sister's husband wanted to scrap the whole range but I repaired it with $14.00 worth of parts.
The element is working great now.

The standard y-frame surface burner provides heat to your range. If you notice that your element will not heat, you may need to replace your surface burner. This product is 6 inches in diameter, and 1500W. The manufacturer suggests replacing the receptacle at the same time that you replace the surface burner. Burner element broke and drip bowls needed to be replaced.
I went to the local discount mart and bought drip bowls. The ones available at that store did not fit, so I decided to buy directly from the stove's manufacturer distributor.

The drip pans were simple to replace, as was the new burner element. My old one had broke and was still working, but I decided to replace it when I ordered the drip pans.

The Bake-o-lite (Hard Plastic) block that holds the burners female connection in place had chipped away over time and wouldn't allow the male part of the burner to connect up correctly.
After unplugging the range I took the rear sheet metal panel at the top off with a nut driver to expose the wiring connections. The next step was to remove the single screw holding the old part in place. (under the drip pan) Once free I snipped the old part from the wires and then taped the new female ends to the old wires with black electrical tape. From rear I carfully pulled the old wires through the back until I could reach the new wiring connections. Unplugged old, plugged in new and replaced the rear metal cover. Then I put the screw that holds the new block bracket in place, replaced drip pan, and burner. The final step was to plug the range back in and check to see if the burner worked. The surface element, also known as the coil surface element, transfers heat to the area on top of range. The element is 8 inches in diameter. If your surface element does not heat, over heats, or heats inconsistently, replacing this part can be the solution to your issue. To determine whether the element is defective, use a multimeter to test it. Before installing the new element, make sure the drip bowl is properly aligned with the notch of the pan. Insert the new element into the reciprocal at a 40 degree angle. Refer to the instructions provided by the manufacturer for more guidance.

burned out burner
First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. Lifted the lid and removed the screws from the bracket that holds the elements, Be careful with the clips that hold the element in, if you break them or bend them there aren't any more! Also note which holes they were in, they are marked according to the different sizes of elements. Disconnected the wires, needed needlenose pliers to grip them...connected new element, popped it back in place, replaced bracket, closed top ...Easy peasy!!! Read more...
